Microsoft on Monday apologized for the duration of it is taking to restore missing data for T-Mobile Sidekicks. The company said it expects to initiate the recovery of data this week, but added that bringing back all the data takes longer than that.

In a statement on its Web site, Microsoft said that the reason for the delay, that the company, to ensure that they do not risk messing up data, as information back to phones, the user wants.
"The risk / Microsoft team to continue working around the clock on the recovery of data proces," said Microsoft. "We regret that this recording is so long, but we want to make sure we do our best to maintain the integrity of your data."
A significant number of Sidekick owners have, without their data since the beginning of the month, as was Sidekick data service was interrupted in the middle of a massive power failure. At one point, fearing Microsoft much of the data has been lost, but the company said early last week that things were looking better and, later adding that they will be able to expect most bringing back, if not all of the data .
"We continue to see good progress and we hope to begin the restoration of personal contacts for the affected users this week, the rest of the content (photos, notes, to-do lists, market data and high scores) shortly thereafter, "said Microsoft.
